On the second Saturday of every month (May – September) come and join the Tap’s James Reid for a 2.5 hour guided tour around Tap o’ Noth Farm. You will be lead around our expanding permaculture food gardens and animal systems, gaining an insight into how we work with nature to design and operate an ecologically designed smallholding in the north east of Scotland.
Tour outline: The tour will begin with coffee/tea and an introduction to the history and design of Tap o’ Noth Farm. This is a time to share your own interest in permaculture and smallholding. Then we will take a detailed walk around the farm taking in all the ecologically designed areas of the farm before ending with any questions you may have.
On this informative and detailed walk you will also have the opportunity to learn about:
- Organic kitchen gardening
- Mulching
- Composting and natural fertilisers
- How to keep and use poultry in your garden
- Forest Gardening
- Small and large livestock
